Below are our terms of sale and a pricing guideline that we use as a base to aid in determining how both kids and adults may be priced. When purchasing a goat from us, it is assumed that the prospective buyers have read and agreed to our terms of sale.
Please note, that both the terms of sale are subject to change as well as the pricing of individual goats.

Terms of Sale
Terms of Deposit:
To reserve an unborn doe/buck kid, please contact us with your desired cross or individual traits. *No deposit is required to be added to a waiting list. Genetics are a wild card game and we have no control over what traits will be expressed or how a future kid will develop and mature. Reservations will be honored based on what we feel will be the best home for the kid with preference given to established performance homes participating in DHI, ADGA linear appraisals/AGS classifications, and/or showing. When we receive your reservation request, we will record your request in the order it was received. No deposits will be accepted until after a kid is born and thriving. Being added to our waiting list does NOT guarantee you a kid. We reserve the right to retain any and all kids as well as the right to approve or deny sales as we see fit. Once the kid is born and thriving, we will contact you to let you know if they are available or if we are unable to fulfill your reservation request. Once notified, you will have 48 hours to confirm that you want the kid and at which time a non-refundable deposit is required to hold the kid until pick-up with the balance of their purchase price being due in full either on or before the kid is picked-up. If the deposit is not received in that time frame, then the reservation will pass to the next person in line or the kid will be offered up publicly.
We do ask for a deposit of 50% of the total price of the kid to hold them until pick up. Kids stay with us until weaning age around eight (8) weeks. All kids must be picked up by their weaning age of eight (8) weeks old or have arrangements made for pick up or transportation.
Example:
Kid listed for $600.
Half down deposit would be $300.
Balance due on/by pick-up would be $300.
If the kid needs to stay past weaning age of eight (8) weeks of age, a boarding rate of $3 per day shall be added to the final price of the kid. If purchasing a weaned or an adult goat, they must be picked up within two (2) weeks from the date of deposit. Should a weaned or adult goat need to stay past the two week window, a boarding rate of $5.00 per day will be added to the goat's final purchase price. Extended stays must be approved by Last Resort Ranch and a pick-up date scheduled. If we, Last Resort Ranch, decide that a kid/goat needs to stay longer for health and/or wellness concerns, no additional fees will be required from the buyer for the kid/goat staying longer.

To reserve a weaned doe/buck/wether kid or a adult doe/buck/wether, a non-refundable deposit of half the listed sale price for each goat is due at the time of reservation with the balance of the goat’s purchase price due on or by the set pick-up date. Once a deposit is received, the buyer will have two (2) weeks to make pick-up or transportation arrangements. If the goat needs to stay past the two (2) week time frame, a boarding rate of $3 per day for kids and $5 per day for adults may be assessed. All goats must be picked-up on the set date unless other arrangements have been made. If a goat is not picked up within one week of the agreed upon set pick-up date, the deposit is forfeited and Last Resort Ranch and its affiliates reserve the right to sell the goats to the next buyer in line.

Once a desired pick-up is set and agreed upon, the buyer will be responsible for making arrangements to pick up their goat/s or have the goat/s transported. If the goat/s is/are not picked up within the agreed upon time frame, then the reservation is voided, the goat/s will either be offered to the next person who requested the reservation or they will be offered publicly, and no refund will be paid due to no-show by the buyer. Please note that the health and well-being of the goats is our utmost priority. If we feel that the kid is not in perfect health at the originally set pick-up time, we will give you the option for us to hold onto the kid until their health improves, transfer your reservation to a different available kid, or cancel your reservation in which all monies paid to us will be refunded to you. Additionally, regarding transportation of the goat/s, if we feel the transportation method is unsafe for the goat/s, we reserve the right to refuse transportation until the concerns are addressed. The last thing any of us want is for a goat/s to get hurt on their way to their new home. Our preference is for the goats to be inside a secured pen or crate inside a vehicle or trailer. A sturdy tote in the bed of a truck that is well strapped and secured down and that has a cover to keep the goat shaded from the sun and the elements is also fine.
Starting in 2022 and going forward all kids available for sale will be ADGA registered upon pick up. They will be registered online with ADGA and sent to the buyer's cart. Once received, the buyer pays the registration and transfer fees and should receive a stamped duplicate of the kid's papers to their email address registered with ADGA. With the issues that have arose with the NG program launch, we have found this to be the best way to get the papers to the new owners quickly and with minimal to no errors. It generally has been a quick, easy process and does not require any papers to be mailed in and risk being stuck in transfer limbo for weeks to months. If you would prefer the kid/s have ADGA registration papers in hand for pick up, please let us know. We will then register the kids online in our name and will complete the transfer section of their papers upon pick up for the buyer to mail in for transfer.

Note: There will be NO refunds on canceled orders. Once a buyer cancels the sale of a goat, all funds paid to Last Resort Ranch are forfeited. Goats are not considered bought until paid in full. All money is non-refundable except in the event any goat should pass away while residing at Last Resort Ranch or Last Resort Ranch chooses to cancel the sale. Last Resort Ranch reserves the right to cancel any sales or refuse any sales as they see fit. All payments must be in cash, PayPal, or Venmo sent to lastresortranchtn@gmail.com unless otherwise agreed upon.

Terms of Sales/Sales Receipt:
ALL GOAT SALES ARE FINAL. Since we have no control over how a goat is managed or what s/he may encounter after leaving our possession, it will be understood that upon the goat/s leaving our property, all liabilities and responsibilities for the goat/s immediately transfer to the buyer. We will not take any goat back because we cannot be sure the goat has not been exposed to diseases while away from our farm. We do not guarantee that a purchaser will like/get along with a goat they purchased from us. We cannot guarantee how much milk a goat will produce. We cannot guarantee the goat will be of show quality. We cannot guarantee that a goat won’t grow scurs (small horn growths). We cannot guarantee the future health of the goat. We cannot guarantee a goat won't go over-height. If a goat is sold bred, it is understood by both parties that said bred animal is presumed bred and is not guaranteed to carry to term or birth live kid/s.
If a goat ends up inheriting a genetic issue that was not immediately apparent at birth or by the time they leave our care, after an official diagnosis is performed by a licensed veterinarian to confirm the issue, a replacement goat may be offered by Last Resort Ranch, a credit towards a future goat, or a possible refund. If you suspect any issues, please let us know and we would be happy to work with and support you to determine any issues and work on a resolution.

Cash, PayPal, or Venmo payments only on all sales unless other arrangements have been made and agreed upon by both parties in advance. All sales are final.
While some of this may sound over-whelming, these policies were put in place to protect us as breeders/sellers, the buyers, and the goats. If there are any questions or concerns about any of our policies, please feel free to message us! We are more than happy to talk goats and work with any and all potential or repeat buyers!

First Rights of Refusal:
We do ask that any goats we have sold to be offered back to us first before being listed either privately or publicly or being offered to any other parties. We ask this as a curtesy from our buyers not only to have the option to bring them home, but to also be able to *hopefully* follow the goats on their journeys.

Sale offers, Discounts, and Rebates:
Pet Wethers:
We offer two reservation types for pet wethers:
**Please note that with both options below the kids will still be intact at the time of pick up as we believe it is best to wait until bucklings are at least 12-16 weeks old to wether. All buyers of pet wethers are welcome to bring their boys back to us around 12-16 weeks of age to be wethered at no additional cost. We use a burdizzo to wether and prefer this method as it's relatively quick and does not break the skin which drastically reduces the chances for infections and other complications.
1. Bottle wethers: To be picked up between 1-2 weeks of age on the bottle. Bottle wethers will be $100 each. We will ask that any prospective buyers plan to pick up at least 2 bottle wethers if they do not already have other kids of a similar age at home.
2. Weaned wethers: To be picked up at 8 weeks of age. Weaned wethers will be $200 each if picking up just 1 or $150 each if picking up multiples.

Performance Herd Discount:
Any buyers who are already actively participating in DHI (milk test), ADGA Linear Appraisals, AGS Classifications, and/or showing at ADGA/AGS sanctioned shows will receive $50 off for EACH performance program they are involved in. This discount will apply to both kids and adult goat's listed sale price.
*Up to $150 off EACH goat if actively involved in all 3 performance programs: DHI, Appraisals (whether ADGA or AGS), and Shows.

Performance Rebate Program:
Buyers of Last Resort Ranch bred goats qualify for our Performance Rebate program. With the rebate program, buyers will receive a $50 credit with us for completely each of the following with their LRR goat:
- Earn a milk star on a Last Resort doe
- Earn a +B on a Last Resort buck
- Get a Linear Appraisal or Classification score on Last Resort doe or buck
- Get a champion leg on a Last Resort doe or buck
*If a buyer finishes (gets 3 champion legs on) a Last Resort doe or buck, gets them scored with Linear Appraisal or Classification, and earns them their milk star or +B this will add up to a $250 credit with us to be applied to future goat sales with us.

Pricing
Below is the guideline that we use to price our goats. We price our kids based on the accomplishments of their dam, their sire, and their sire's dam. We use this chart as a guideline to help us be fair and consistent, but individual prices may still vary based on other factors and considerations.

Keeping numbers down is TOUGH, but we need to make some hard cuts. When scrolling through our page if you come across a Last Resort Ranch homebred doe (must bear the Last Resort herd name) from our senior doe, first freshener, or junior doe pages that catches your eye, please send us a message with your information, who you're interested in, and your offer for her.
