A Little Farm with Little Goats
and Big Dreams.
It began with a dream.
The dream of a little girl growing up in the suburbs but who always yearned for a quiet, simpler life in the country. For as long as I can remember, I have loved animals and have wanted a farm. It didn't matter to me what I did for a career as long as I could have my farm and all my animals.
In 2016, that lifelong dream became a reality when we bought a small, 12 acre farm in small town in Tennessee. Since buying the farm, we have worked steadily to make it our own. That year, we got our first registered Nigerian Dwarf goat, Island Branch Carolina, and we have been hooked! Every year since, we have slowly, but surely worked on growing our herd and defining our breeding program. Our primary focus is to breed and raise healthy goats with good longevity that will excel on DHI or milk test. We are also striving for a versatile animal that will also perform well in the show ring and score well in linear appraisals.
In 2019 we ventured in DHI and the show ring. We have been so very pleased with how our little ladies are performing on milk test and very proud of how they conduct themselves in the show ring. These little ladies have a lot of heart and we are constantly humbled by them.
In 2020 we got set up as an ADGA Plus herd and will be adding linear appraisals and DNA testing as well as continuing on DHI and showing.
In 2021 we got more involved with AGS and ANDDA. Through AGS we got our first classifications done on the herd. This was an AMAZING experience! We got such valuable insight on our goats, learned some great tips for evaluating our goats, and just had a wonderful time in general! Through ANDDA several of our does were awarded JuJu Awards for their outstanding milk production.
In 2022 we finally got our first ADGA Linear Appraisal session and LOVED the experience! We learned so much and are very happy with how everyone scored! As with classifications, we again learned some valuable advice when it comes to raising and breeding these glorious little goats!
Thank you for visiting our site. We hope you will join us on our journey as we are very excited to where our future with these glorious little goats leads us!
